Update on Arts Now Grant Project
Things are moving right along here at Benkelman Elementary School with the Arts Now Grant Ceramic Mural Project.
The new kiln has been installed and it is up and running very smoothly. The elementary classes are finishing up glazing their tiles and the staff is getting ready to do theirs. Production took a break for about 3 weeks as the new kiln was getting installed with the students' tiles piling up in the art room but now we are back on track with the glaze firings and setting up the layout will start to take place over Spring break. Once everything is laid out, the planning for installation will start. Expected installation is scheduled to be completed by April 15th.
